Biography: Sarshad earned his B.Tech and M.Tech dual degree in metallurgical engineering and materials science from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai in 2016. He worked on the processing of glass ceramics during his Masters. He joined UConn in 2016 to pursue his Ph.D. degree with the Aindow group, where he worked on the development of advanced aluminum metal-matrix composites for aerospace applications. He earned his Ph.D. degree in 2022 and joined as a Post-doctoral research associate in the Aindow lab working on additively manufactured advanced aluminum alloys and artificial interface solids for high ZT thermoelectrics.
