Biography: Ovijit Das earned his Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) in 2022. In his undergraduate, his project focused on the development of optoelectronic, mechanical, and thermophysical properties of various materials systems like Perovskite, Half-huesler, MXene, and Rudorffites by utilizing experimental and computational materials science for multifunctional applications. Ovijit has been a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut since August 2023. In Dr. Mark Aindow's lab, he concentrates on the characterization and application of core-shell thermoelectric nanocomposite materials by utilizing SEM, GFIB, and TEM. Ovijit's research interests include advanced characterization, computational materials science, and the development of nanomaterials. Ovijit has also honed his leadership skills by serving the Materials Research Society (MRS) as Vice president from August 2023. His commitment to innovation and problem-solving in materials science is a hallmark of his academic journey.

 

Current Interests: Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials Characterization ( SEM, TEM, FIB, XRD), Computational Materials Science, Materials Processing
