Biography: Kyle earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University in 2017. He then spent 6 years at Pratt & Whiney, conducting structural analysis of critical components for both civilian and military engine programs. He earned an MS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 2022, specializing in the micromechanical characterization of cold-sprayed materials. He has concurrently served in the New York Army National Guard since 2015. Kyle joined the Aindow research group as a PhD student in Fall 2023, focusing on additive manufacturing of Superalloys.

Current Interests: Materials Characterization; Microstructural development; Mechanical behavior at various length scales; Failure analysis and prediction; Materials in extreme environments; Metal additive manufacturing.
